"Having begun to notice the irreversible signs of aging in myself I started to realize why, as people age, they often start on a downward spiral.  Flexibility, stability, balance, and strength were all declining and I began to move in ways that I felt would protect me from injury.  In reality, I knew that this would only accelerate the decline and make me more prone to serious problems.  After having worked unsuccessfully with undereducated trainers from the "big box" gyms, I knew I didn't want to take that route again.  Two years ago I very fortunately found myself in conversation with a 75 year old woman who had Jordan Nichols as her trainer.  On her recommendation I began working with Jordan, owner of Heart Fit.  I have learned, not only how to exercise, but that my body is capable of far more than I ever knew was possible.  I found myself wishing that I had such training and encouragement earlier in my life.

"First and foremost, I want to say thank you to Jordan in this review. Heart Fit is not just a gym, it is a life changing experience. I came to Jordan (main trainer) about one year ago right after an inguinal hernia surgery that was the result of a 24 Hour Fitness training session gone terribly wrong (I will NEVER join a regular gym ever again). I have been athletic my whole life. From horseback riding and gymnastics to body building and firefighter training - you name it, I've done it. Along with all of the training came a long slew of injuries. Every time I thought I was getting better, I would injure or re-injure something. I was getting so frustrated and depressed because my career was riding on my ability to perform physically and I kept hitting road blocks and not understanding why. And as a female, I was also having an incredibly hard time finding a trainer that would adapt a program for me to become a better Firefighter candidate.

Jordan's card came in the mail and I figured I would check it out. Let me tell you, if there is any question in your mind about whether or not to train, do it. I have not only remained injury free for the last year, I have improved dramatically in my complete state of physical being. I truly had no idea how incorrect my form and methods of working out were. No wonder I'd had so many injuries and am lucky there weren't more that were more severe. True, any amount of physical training is beneficial, but with the right technique I found out my boundaries lifting.
